Friday, April 25, 2014 – Mr. Nick Offerman, who some of you may know as a crafter of fine furniture and small boats, posted a link to a good read on farmer, writer, and academic Wendell Berry.
A nice portrait of Wendell Berry. Thank you, Yale. http://t.co/tYjwSBmce1

Wendell Berry, for those of you who don’t know, is an activist. His heart is in good tilled earth, and he’s a prominent preacher of “localism“. “According to him, the good life includes sustainable agriculture, appropriate technologies, healthy rural communities, connection to place, the pleasures of good food, husbandry, good work, local economics, the miracle of life, fidelity, frugality, reverence, and the interconnectedness of life.” (per Wikipedia)
